A bit of background

When we set up Audacia we believed that there was a better way to deliver custom software.

There were two principles that fueled our work:

  • Whilst software can manage complex systems, software development need not be complicated.
  • Success in software development relies on transparency, trust, genuine dialogue and deep collaboration.

These principles still inform how we work today. And we don’t work around the edges of businesses. We focus on software integral to the daily functioning of systems. This is what we mean by business critical software.

We've worked hard to create a culture that enables our clients to access technology solutions simply and effectively, as well as our people to thoroughly enjoy a challenging and interesting work environment.

We’re big enough to deliver integral software projects for industry leaders, but foster a culture and community that still deters being another cog in the wheel. Everyone is valued here. Everyone has a say.

Working at Audacia
Your work environment

We value working in an open office. You’ll be surrounded by smart thinkers, working across different disciplines, projects and technologies. Giving you the opportunity to learn from others, within a solid support network. Your experience doesn’t dictate your knowledge. Curiosity and smart thinking is important. Speak up and pitch new ideas and technologies – we’re always open to how we can improve processes, projects and tools and overall create a better work environment.

We have a flat structure. Everyone is accessible. With a culture focused on collaboration, transparency and knowledge sharing, we care about each other, our clients and our projects.

Your team

Our teams vary in size, made up of developers, testers and project managers. We are all analysts. From different academic backgrounds in computer science and physics, to maths and music, you’ll be working with friendly and engaging people who are passionate about technology and love to solve complex problems. We love collaborating and sharing knowledge with each other, and with clients. As clients are an extension of our team. These close working relationships enable us to consistently deliver world class software.

You'll be part of a community here. Outside of working hours you’ll find us at the pub, playing in pool leagues, board games and D&D, yoga sessions, cinema trips and dinners. Or simply building AR prototypes over some pizza and beer.

Your projects

You’ll be working on interesting, diverse and challenging projects spanning multiple industries. You’ll be using the latest technologies and platforms to deliver projects from agricultural commodities trading platforms to systems to manage personnel across the biggest offshore wind farm in the world. We’ll give you the tools and environment necessary to enable you to work to your full potential and thrive.

We trust our teams. You’ll be given influence and ownership within projects. It’s up to you to figure out the best way to solve the problem. You’ll also be the one who is celebrated for successes. We value mistakes too, as this provides an opportunity to learn and improve.

Your career progression

You’ll be provided with ongoing opportunities to learn, develop and progress inside and outside of your work. With weekly lightning talks on insightful technical topics; from unit testing in SQL with tSQLt, to the application of predictive modelling in Angular. As well as ongoing training and upskilling opportunities, including qualifications and certifications, and sessions from external providers on topics like ownership, hosted internally.

You’ll benefit from quarterly progression reviews to assess where you are in terms of your desired career path and personal development progress. Your career is yours to drive at Audacia, with opportunities to progress into a variety of roles across different projects and departments.
