When AESSEAL realised that their existing disparate legacy IT systems were becoming a barrier to sustaining planned growth, they looked to recruiting additional IT staff. However, after realising the benefits of working with an agile, cross-industry experienced partner, they decided to engage in a collaborative development partnership with a software development company with a proven track record in collaborative development. After researching, AESSEAL decided to work in partnership with Audacia to extend their in-house development team.
The Knowledge Management Suite comprises of three core modules:
A central repository of information relating to chemicals, chemical applications, rotating equipment assets and AESSEAL products, including 3D drawings of products. The technology also provides a competitor crossover sales tool function which matches and compares AESSEAL products with alternative competitor products through a customisable search with any level of information they have (e.g. by figure, bar code number or product type etc.).
An application used to record the structural layout of customer assets and installation, inspection and change management history of AESSEAL's sealing solutions. This software application generates comparative and aggregate reports on factors such as 'Mean Time Between Failure' and 'Cost of Replacement' within a customised time frame across different combinations of locations. The application is supported by bespoke mobile applications used by engineers onsite to capture site survey information.
An innovative platform used to produce complex, bespoke sales quotations for sealing solutions, based on a virtual product selection and configuration/customisation tool, supporting practically unlimited combinations of products and product features, automating the business process of building a quote through search (by model, size, number etc.) and selection.
Working in a collaborative development partnership with an external software development company has enabled AESSEAL to release its new enterprise software product suite with a significantly reduced time to market. Through the new software platform, AESSEAL has drastically improved user experience and simplified system management, overall supporting the growth and change within the business.
